When Auckland Transport moved into their new premises, previously housed by Vodafone, they needed ideas for the smartest methods to rebrand and give the building their own presence. BIG was able to keep costs down by dismantling the previous exterior signage and repurposing it into a good-as-new Auckland Transport branded sign.

The AT logo at reception has a rustic brushed metal appearance, achieved with a light coat of 2-pot clear with a silver tint so that the raw metal shows through but is sealed to prevent tarnishing or oxidising.

A vivid, printed feature mural in the reception area, created by their in-house design team, enlivens the space and captures the various forms of transportation services provided by the company.

Directional signage for toilets was implemented with a minimalistic and effective wayfinding system. Auckland Transport had a stunning artistic graphic developed and was produced in frosting over windows – another excellent way to meet glazing compliancy in a creative way. We installed the signage and graphics outside of office hours for minimal disruption.

With BIG’s strategic thinking, a stellar result was produced within a cost-conscious budget.
