Two super-sized wall murals for the New Zealand Defence Force Navy Training Unit make a spectacular visual statement upon entry. The images were all created in-house using high-resolution stock images, and supplied by the Navy photographer, Chris Weissenborn.
On the last major training exercise in the New Year, Chris was requested to shoot several shots of the fleet while training in the outer Hauraki Gulf. Along with that imagery, and our stock photos, we created these two spectacular wall graphics which span over 28 metres long x 11.5 metres high.
Inside this facility, the new Navy recruits are trained in all aspects of deck and crew work. The fitout itself is spectacular, and we topped the scales with our creative twist in bringing realism to the unit.
A special thanks goes out to Chief Petty Officer Seaman Combat Specialist, Steve Lane, for coordination of our specialised installers on-site.
