— Creating an atmosphere
Over the past decade, BIG has produced a vast array of Event signage throughout New Zealand. Now, we have been working alongside their head office in Sydney for this latest project: Event Cinemas in Newmarket.
The recently-developed Westfield Newmarket Shopping Centre is home to Event’s brand new cinema complex. We have used some of the most state-of-the-art technologies and digital printing available to the industry. Our team produced a full wayfinding and retail signage package using a multitude of methods.
We were fully involved in the design and shop drawing process. Therefore, we were able to ensure the Event signage elements were integrated with the shopfitting, rather than added on as an afterthought. Once Event’s head office had approved all of the designs, then the manufacturing fun began.
One of our greatest challenges was to produce a wall graphic in the V-Max lounge at an extraordinary size of 30 metres long by 4.5 metres high. But, BIG was up for the task! We printed the graphic inhouse on our HP latex machine. Our application installers then expertly affixed it to a plastered and painted wall.
The timeframe was very limited which is typical of many projects in our industry. We are proud to have approached this task with both urgency and accuracy. BIG produced all signage on-time and within the budgeted price.
