Pipeline & Infrastructure
Boardroom

New Zealand Sign Display Awards 2025 – Theming – BRONZE
Pipeline & Infrastructure, civil engineering and earthworks contractor, engaged us to enhance a Portacom for their staff training room. We visited the site to get an understanding of the business and its culture, then went away and brainstormed an immersive experience. As the staff are comfortable working with heavy machinery rather than sitting in a corporate boardroom, we wanted to make the environment extra special for the team. The client was excited by our creative direction to fully theme the space.
The Pipeline & Infrastructure logo has been brought to life by expanding it into multiple router-cut layers, each backlit with LED neon and an overall white LED glow. This was mounted to the ceiling upon a blue sky with fluffy white clouds to bring the outdoors in. A translucent glasswork print of one of their diggers and a construction-themed whiteboard frame add to the scene.
The main wall features a digital print of one of the company’s greatest accomplishments – the biggest culvert in the Southern Hemisphere located within the Pūhoi to Warkworth motorway – colourised to the brand. The adjacent wall resembles an 1800mm diameter stormwater pipe with an inset 55″ TV screen. We even designed the boardroom table, utilising actual stormwater drains and pipes.
Ultimately the boardroom has been infused with energy using LED lighting to flood the walls, illuminate around the roof line, and highlight the pipes beneath the table. The company motto, “Seeing difficult differently”, is a motivating message for the team and a reminder to never stop pushing boundaries.
